What are the best investments I can make as a teen?

At this point, stick to S&P500 index funds such as SPY or VOO. Robinhood is totally fine, and simplifies a lot of the complicated process that is a barrier for most beginners. As you invest in S&P500, pay attention to other companies that you are interested in or like. Watch them. Look at their charts daily, see how the price reacts to news or trends. Understanding how some sectors or companies stock prices react to the market/news/trends is super important. As you watch the company, you can see how expensive, or cheap it gets. When its on a run, or bleeding. You will get increasingly familiar with the company and its prices/trends and be able to recognize deals more and more easily. So research, watch YouTube videos, read books, and keep learning. Dont get dragged into trendy things, just get your fundamentals down. Get a solid foundation and understanding of the stock market and how it works and learn by just watching it every day and paying attention to how it moves. Once you have a good understanding and confidence, then you can dabble in some companies that you think are a good buy. I would still prioritize your S&P500 investments, have most of your money in that, and only put what you can afford to lose in other companies. As you gain experience, you can put more weight into more risky investments, but I would be very hesitant to do anything risky until youve really put in the time to learn the stock market and how to invest wisely. S&P500 index funds outperform almost everything, and its consistent. A lot of spend their whole lives/careers trying to beat it and most cant. So dont fool yourself thinking youre going to beat it, so start there to get into the market, and as you learn you can put more weight into companies you really believe in. As you learn more and more, you can even dabble in swing trading and options trading, but be very ready to lose whatever money you do that with. So dont use money you cant afford to lose for speculative investments or bets. Read the intelligent investor by Benjamin Graham. Its the foundation of my investment strategy, and on that foundation I have grown my net worth 3x in less than two years.
